About me.

About me.

She:kon, Kwe, Qey! Welcome to Okwáho Designs!

I’m Chanelle Knockwood, a 30-year-old First Nations bead artist, a proud mama of two, and the creator behind Okwáho Designs. I am Maliseet & Passamaquoddy on my father’s side and Mi’kmaq & Mohawk on my mother’s side. As an authentic Indigenous beadwork artist, my work is inspired by my culture, the beauty of nature, and the spirit of Okwáho—the wolf.

What started as a passion has now become my full-time source of income, and I’m so grateful to share my work with you. My goal is to bring a little sparkle to your life in honor of my grandmother, Edith Sappier, who was the queen of everything BLING. Every pair of earrings I create is made with love, patience, and intention, blending traditional beadwork with a modern, eye-catching style.

Thank you for being here and supporting Indigenous art! I’d love to hear from you, so feel free to say hi or share which designs you love most!

Nia:wen, Woliwən, Wela'lioq (thank you)!
